Music Education is an important piece of the puzzle in a child's developmental process. Research has discovered that children who participate in the arts often exceed in certain academics. However, music education is slowly becoming extinct and children in certain communities are suffering emotionally, culturally and academically. Performa of Pittsburgh's goal is to teach students to think creatively and culturally. Performa of Pittsburgh (POP) strives to educate young people in the areas of: ~ Music Theory ~ Vocal Performance ~ Concert Piano ~ Cultural Studies Performa also offers music workshops and recitals year round. We offer preparation courses for students pursuing careers in music. POP is familiar with many conservatory, university and college audition requirements.
