Our Mission: Performa of Pittsburgh strives to give young people a good music education program through lectures and technology that will equip students to compose and play music. Letter from the CEO: “How can the arts build community?”  “What do the arts contribute to community?” Every person, young and old, has been introduced to music. As we speak, walk, and hear, we are encountering many musical methods. In the community are people of many nationalities, and we’ve come to understand them as we learn of their beliefs, their culture and their music. The arts keep the pulse of the community beating. Performa of Pittsburgh believes in delivering high quality music education and promoting creative thinking. Music is used as an aid in the academic development and in fostering healthy self-esteem. We are pleased to be a part the development of the whole child. It is our vision to make piano and voice lessons accessible to young children as well as students pursuing music degrees.
